Sourhouse Goldie Sourdough Starter Warmer

A sourdough starter warmer and custom glass jar system that gently holds your culture at the optimal temperature for faster, more predictable fermentation.

---DETAILS---

The Sourhouse Goldie creates the ideal micro-climate for wild yeast by holding your starter in its 24–28°C 'Goldilocks Zone' – not too hot, not too cold, and safely above typical room temperatures. This removes any ambiguity or guesswork before you put in the effort to make a loaf, as an imperfect starter is the main cause of sourdough fails. An intuitive light indicator continuously monitors internal conditions (blue for cool, gold for optimal, red for warm), supported by an included Cooling Puck for warmer summer days. Powered via a low-energy USB cable and adapter, its minimal footprint plugs conveniently anywhere on your kitchen worktop. Whether waking a culture from the fridge or establishing a new starter, it works the same way: Simply place the jar (like the ) on the warming base, cover with the glass cloche, and wait for the starter to reach the optimal 'gold' temperature. The accompanying borosilicate glass jar features straight sides, a threadless rim to prevent trapped starter, and a vented silicone lid for effortless cleaning and carbon dioxide release. Designed to live on the countertop, it's also small enough to store when not in use. The starter jar is not included and can be purchased separately .

---BENEFITS---

'Goldie removes the biggest variable in sourdough bread baking: temperature. No matter where you are in the world, or what the temperature is, it will provide the perfect climate for the sourdough starter to thrive. It makes the whole sourdough process more predictable and easier to learn, so beginners can bake with confidence and experts can get more creative with their techniques.'
